Saint Petersburg – Tsarskoye Selo – Pavlovsk
The duration is 3 days and 2 nights.
Day 1 (Friday)
On arrival to Saint Petersburg you will go to the hotel on your own. If necessary, a transfer to your hotel can be arranged in advance:
From 9:00 am until 12:30 pm you can meet the manager of the travel agency in the hotel lobby to get detailed information about the excursion or to purchase extra services.
By 12:30 pm a bus will arrive at the hotel, and you will go on an excursion.
First, we will visit the Kunstkamera. This is the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography. Peter the Great himself took part in collecting the items for the museum. Mummified infants with development anomalies are exhibited here. Peter the Great bought them from a French anatomist. Tourists often come just to see them.
After that you will visit the Peter and Paul Fortress. The history of the great city of Saint Petersburg began here. The fortress is located on Hare Island by the bank of the Neva River. You will have a chance to walk around the fortress grounds, visit the Peter and Paul Cathedral, and walk on the walls and the observation platform of the fortress.
Departure to the hotel by bus.
Day 2 (Saturday)
In the morning you will have breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
After breakfast a bus will arrive and you will go on excursions to Tsarskoye Selo and Pavlovsk.
In Tsarskoye Selo you will visit the Catherine Palace, take a walk in the Catherine Park, and take photos of awesome views to remember it.
In Pavlovsk you will see one of the largest landscape parks in Europe, whose area covers 2 sq. mi. The park consists of 7 landscape zones: The Palace Area, the Slavyanka River Valley, the Great Star with its valley of ponds, the Old Sylvia, the New Sylvia, the Parade Ground, and the White Birch. In the park center is the Pavlovsk Palace. After enjoying the views you will return to the hotel in Saint Petersburg.
You will have free time there.
Day 3 (Sunday)
After breakfast you will need to check out of the hotel.
At 9:00 am a bus will arrive to take you to Moskovsky railway station. You will have to leave your belongings in luggage storage.
After that the guide will show you the best architectural complexes and famous monuments in Saint Petersburg during the sightseeing excursion.
Then, you will go to the Hermitage Museum. It is also known as the Winter Palace. Walking along the corridors and magnificent halls of the palace, you can fully immerse yourself in the imperial atmosphere, admire pictures by famous artists, and see the legendary mummy with your own eyes in the Room of Ancient Egypt.
You will then have a chance to walk around the city center on your own.
The excursion will end at 3:00 pm, after which we will organize your departure to the railway station.
